SSC’s Tuatara Updates The Wold Record For The Fastest Car in the world as it beats the Bugatti’s 304.77mph (490.4km/h) speed record. SSC Tuatara has a Top Speed of a 331mph (532.6km/h) as the worlds fastest car and setting a two-way average of 316.11mph (508.73 km/h) on a seven-mile stretch of closed road just outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. British racing driver Oliver Webb got behind the wheel. On the first run, he hit 301.07 mph (484.53 km/h). In the second run to the other direction, he throttled the car until he hit 331.15 mph (532.93 km/h) making an average of 316.11mph to make the SSC Tuatara the fastest production vehicle in the world. Tuatara is a production car by Shelby SuperCars (SSC) in Richlands, Washington, USA. This car weighs 1,247kgs & powered by a twin-turbo 5.9-litre flat-plane crank V8 engine which produces 1,750 hp.
