It was rumored during past weeks that there would be a plug-in hybrid Range Rover Velar. Many ones were waiting for a plug-in hybrid version of Velar because the Evoque also got a plug-in hybrid version recently.

Now Range Rover Velar can be driven as an all-electric vehicle in EV Mode or as a hybrid vehicle Hybrid mode with this new plug-in hybrid technology.

Land Rover's Plug‑in Hybrid (PHEV) powertrain includes of a 4‑cylinder, 2,0 Si4 300 PS 4WD Petrol engine and 143PS (105kW) motor.

With a wall box installed at your home, a full charge can be done in 2.2 hours.

The electric motor in the drive train converts the energy from the battery to produce instantly accessible torque. It can also charge the battery pack through regenerative braking.

The vehicle decides the most efficient use of fuel to suit the driving conditions. When more power is needed, the engine will switch on and combine with the electric motor for a hybrid All Wheel Drive experience.
