Lamborghini's most powerful and road illegal Hypercar: Essenza SCV12
Design
The design features a number of hexagonal elements & slightly inspired from the Aventador with more mechanical, aerodynamic and chassis upgrades. This also features a Y-shaped carbon structure that divides the driver and passenger seats. This car also has carbonfibre racing seats and red door pull straps instead of handles to save weight.
The design of the aerodynamic package is inspired from Lamborghini’s Huracán GT3 racer. This aerodynamic package including SCV12’s large, adjustable rear spoiler, the hypercar can generate 1200kg of downforce at 155mph.
Engine & Technology
The engine is a naturally aspirated 6.5-litre which produces more than 819bhp. Lamborghini
claims a power-to-weight ratio of 1.65bhp per 1kg.This has a redesigned dual-exit exhaust which produce a unique engine sound, and a new Xtrac sequential six-speed gearbox. This gearbox forms a structural element of the chassis making the vehicle more fast & compact.
The body of this car is a new carbonfibre monocoque chassis.
Chassis features inspired by race cars include the mounting of the push-rod rear suspension directly onto the gearbox, magnesium 19in and 20in wheels wrapped in slick Pirelli tyres and Brembo Motorsport-developed brake discs and calipers.
The most interesting feature of this lightweight hypercar is that the bodyshell is divided into three separate components to allow for quick replacement of damaged sections during pit stops.
